Auth0 Identity Conversion Suite

The Auth0 Identity Conversion Suite bundles two Auth0 features that solve complementary problems:

• Anonymous Sessions: Track and manage users from their first pre-authentication interaction and carry that activity to their authenticated profile when they sign up or log in. Without Anonymous Sessions, you can’t identify or connect pre-authentication activity. Losing information like browsing history, cart contents, or consent choices can lead to abandoned carts and lost sign-ups.
• Experiment Center: Run A/B tests and gradual rollouts on changes to your authentication flows, like new sign-up fields, passkeys, or MFA rules. Without Experiment Center, you can’t test or measure the impact of changes against a slice of traffic before shipping them to all of your users.

Used together, the two features answer different questions. Experiment Center tells you whether a change to your authentication flow worked. Anonymous Sessions tells you who it worked for by giving you a pre-authentication segment (such as users who saved an item before signing up) that you can use to split your experiment results. Without the segment from Anonymous Sessions to divide your Experiment Center data, the impact on a specific group of users is diluted into the average across all users, so you risk missing real effects.
